My UNCP Experience
Attending UNCP was such a great experience. Over the course of four years, I learned a lot. I would not be the person that I am today without the UNCP Mass Communication professors.

At the beginning of my college career, I was a typical freshman. I was quiet, I kept to myself and sat in the back of the classroom most of the time. To me, that was my way of ensuring myself that I would make good grades.

It wasn't until I started taking mass communication classes that I realized I needed to step it up. I always wanted to be involved with various organizations on campus. That feeling only grew stronger when I enrolled in classes with Dr. Emilia Bak, and Professor George Harrison.

Dr. Bak and Professor Harrison are so great at teaching. Both professors bring out the best in all of their students. While taking their classes, I went from being that shy student, to a more outgoing student.

Because of the lessons learned from their classes, I became an effective leader, and role model to so many people at UNCP.

Prior to enrolling, if you were to ask me if I thought that I would ever become PRSSA President, and later become a Student Ambassador, I would have laughed at you and my answer would have been no.

All of this lead me to having an amazing college experience. It lead me to be involved with many organizations on campus including BEA, The Pine Needle, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and becoming a Student Ambassador for UNCP Admissions.

It is amazing how much of an impact two professors can have on a student! In the following tabs, you can read more about my experiences at UNCP.
